Under the new rules introduced by the UK Government on 4 October, the traffic light system has been changed to a single red list of countries. Please visit GOV.UK to review the requirements for entering the UK and the latest COVID-19 regulations for traveling to England before applying for a visa. Separate guidance is available for travelers entering Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The rules for travel from the rest of the world will depend on your vaccination status. Please consult GOV.UK for more information before applying for your visa.
From 04:00 (BST) on 22 September 2021, Pakistan will come off the UK Government’s red list. This means UK Visas and Immigration can process visit visa applications that were placed on hold due to red list restrictions.
If you have an outstanding visit visa application that you have not withdrawn, this will now be processed. You will be notified when to collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre (VAC) via the contact details you provided. Successful visa applications will be issued with a visa covering the full duration applied for, and travel vignettes will be valid with immediate effect from 22 September.
UKVI will not be able to amend visa start dates to reflect any new intended travel dates where plans may have changed since the application was made.
If you have opted for the “Keep My Passport While Applying” service and you have your passport with you, you will be contacted when your passport is ready to collect. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until contacted. Please note that you will not be able to request a refund of your visa fee if you have decided not to travel to the UK, or no longer require the visa.
Before applying for your visa, check the latest information on travel to England from another country during coronavirus (COVID-19). Pay close attention to any local travel guide in your country of residence.
Due to extremely high demand, standard UK visitor visas are taking significantly longer than usual to be processed. You should bear this in mind when making any bookings.
UK Visas and Immigration will process applications as soon as possible.
You will be contacted by the Visa Application Centre (VAC) when your passport is ready for collection. Do not attend the VAC until you have been invited to do so.
Please note, you now have 240 calendar days from the date you completed your form on GOV.UK to have your biometrics taken at a Visa Application Centre. Please ensure that you book your appointment at a Visa Application Centre in the country you selected on your application, and attend within 240 calendar days.
